The exhibition opened on May 8, 2019, the anniversary of VE Day, at Madrid’s Arte Canal Exhibition Centre, where it was extended two times and drew more than 600,000 visitors. The exhibit then traveled to New York’s Museum of Jewish Heritage, and Kansas City’s landmark Union Station. Here once again, it was extended through and was viewed by over 315,000 visitors, setting an all-time attendance record. In May 2022 it returned to Europe to open in Malmo, Sweden.

FRANK was humbled by its participation on this traveling exhibition project, and the task of creating over 90 display cases. The ease of assembly and disassembly of the traveling exhibition display cases, and the customization of shipping crates that ensure their safe transit to multiple venues over a period of years, were features that guided Musealia’s decision to choose FRANK.

For its educational significance in reaching so many visitors across the globe with its message of the necessity of remembrance, Musealia’s CEO, Luis Ferreiro, received the Light of Remembrance Award from the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum.
