Treasures from the still active dig site are displayed in a suite of 20 large FRANK glass museum display cases, on various bases, platforms, and plinths to accommodate the artifacts’ sizes, shapes, and materials.
It is a great honor that these objects, unearthed from one of the most exciting and mysterious archaeological sites yet discovered in the Emirates, are displayed and protected in FRANK Showcase System cases.
A secluded desert site that was a center for metalworking some three thousand years ago is the subject of an important interactive, permanent exhibition at the Saruq Al-Hadid Archaeology Museum, housed in a historic building in the Shindagha Heritage District of Dubai. The exhibit invites visitors to roll up their sleeves and experience the excitement of archaeological discovery, set in motion by His Highness Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who flew over the vast, empty desert dunes in 2002 and observed distinct colorations that signaled the presence of Iron Age slag, the byproduct of smelting iron.
