Curators chose three themes to convey ancient Egyptian culture and everyday life and organize the collection for the viewer: Temples – Gods; The Nile Valley – People: and Tombs – The Dead. FRANK provided its signature acrylic case system technology in a range of shapes and case types.
Perhaps the most mysterious and powerful encounters for visitors engaging with Egyptian civilization are the mummies and grave goods from Egyptian tombs, protected in FRANK museum exhibition display cases. According to Egyptian belief, these entombment rituals helped the deceased to overcome the difficulties of traveling through the underworld and live as reborn, divine beings in the afterlife.
A comprehensive renovation of the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest was completed in 2018, and FRANK Showcase Systems was honored to be chosen to provide acrylic cases for the museum’s permanent installation of its Egyptian collection, the second-largest collection of Egyptian art in central Europe.
